Best AI Visibility Tools for ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity (2026)

Best AI Visibility Tools for ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity (2026)

Twelve tools that measure whether AI engines name your brand, compared on the thing that decides the bill: which engines are in the plan and which are add-ons. Every price and engine list below was read off the vendor's own page on 7 September 2026.

Prices verified: 7 September 2026.

The tools are in alphabetical order. Nothing here is ranked, scored or given a "best for" label, and Geotally — our own product — appears in the alphabet like everyone else, with the same fields. A vendor grading its competitors is not a review; it is an advert with a table. So this page reports engine coverage and price, dates both, and links the source.

One thing worth saying before the table. Almost every buyer starts with "does it track ChatGPT" and almost every tool says yes. ChatGPT coverage is table stakes. The question that separates these products is Gemini and Claude — who includes them, who bills them as add-ons, and who does not offer them at all.

Which AI engines each visibility tool covers at its entry tier, September 2026.

"Add-on" means the engine exists but costs extra. "Enterprise" means it is available only on the custom or top tier. A dash means the pricing page does not itemise it.

AthenaHQ

Credit-metered, with a real free tier. Essential is free with $25 of credit and 300 credits total, unlimited members, and covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot. That is five engines at no cost, which is unusual.

Starter is $295/mo with $300/mo of included credit and 3,600 credits, and widens coverage to ten models — Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Google AI Mode join the free five, with "additional models available upon request". Enterprise is custom.

The gap between free and $295 is the thing to plan around. There is no middle tier, so you are either exploring on credits or committing to a mid-market price. Claude sits on the paid side.

Brandlight

Enterprise only. brandlight.ai/pricing returns a 404, and every call to action on the site is "Get a demo" or "Contact Sales". The positioning is explicit — Fortune 500 brands, SOC 2 Type 2, white-glove support, dedicated agency partnerships — and the product surfaces listed are visibility and insights, technical health, content, agentic commerce, partnerships, ads, and attribution marked coming soon.

There is no self-serve path and no published price, so we cannot tell you what it costs and neither can their website. If you run enterprise procurement, that is normal. If you are a founder with a card, this is not the shape of the thing you are buying.

Evertune

Pro is $800/month and is the only published number. It covers 100,000 prompts tracked across 11 AI models, daily/weekly/monthly tracking frequency, global language and country tracking, 25 AI-optimised articles per month, three onboarding sessions, affiliate advertising partnerships and AI retargeting. Enterprise is custom.

Both tiers say "Request a demo" — the $800 is published, but you cannot check out online. The article-generation and advertising components are doing a lot of that price; if you only want measurement, you are paying for a wider platform than the job requires.

Frase

Frase is a content-optimisation tool that added AI visibility, and it tiers the engines. Starter is $49/mo monthly ($39 billed yearly) with 50 tracked prompts covering ChatGPT and "Google AI". Professional is $129/mo ($103 yearly) with 200 prompts and adds Perplexity. Scale is $299/mo ($239 yearly) with 500 prompts and adds Claude and Gemini. Enterprise covers all named engines.

So the honest read: if Gemini and Claude are why you are shopping, Frase's entry point for that is $299/mo month-to-month, not $49. If your team already writes briefs in Frase and you want a visibility number beside them, the $49 tier is a cheap way to start watching ChatGPT.

Geotally

Our own tool. Six engines — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Google AI Overviews — included on every plan with no per-engine or per-model add-on.

Starter is $19/mo for 5 prompts on weekly runs. Growth is $59/mo for 15 prompts at three runs per prompt each week. Agency is $349/mo for 50 prompts, daily runs and a per-brand engine mix. Every plan includes gap detection, Action Plan drafts, one-click WordPress publishing and citation-win detection. There is a 7-day free trial on Starter and Growth with no charge until day 7, and online checkout with no sales call. There is no permanent free tier.

The constraint is the prompt cap: 5 on Starter is at the low end of this table. The trade we made deliberately is that no engine is metered — Claude at $19 is the reason this product exists.

HubSpot AEO

$50/month, or $45/month paid annually. It includes 25 prompts and tracks three engines: ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. You can buy more prompts. There is a free trial with no credit card, during which you track those 25 prompts across the three engines.

The engine list is the whole story. No Claude, no Microsoft Copilot, no Google AI Overviews. If your buyers are entirely on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity and your team already lives in HubSpot, $50 for 25 prompts is competitive on prompts-per-dollar. If Google AI Overviews matter to you — and for most B2B and local search, they do — this tool does not see them.

HubSpot's AEO product traces to its acquisition of XFunnel, announced in HubSpot's own newsroom. See the status note below.

Otterly

Lite is $29/mo for 15 search prompts, Standard $189/mo for 100, Premium $489/mo for 400, Enterprise from $1,000/mo. Annual billing takes 15% off ($25 and $160 respectively). Tracking is daily on every plan and team members are unlimited.

Four engines are included at every tier: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini are add-ons at every tier, which is the number to run before comparing the $29 with anything else here. Standard and above add API access, MCP access and Agent Analytics; extra prompts are $99 per 100.

Copilot at the entry tier is a genuine differentiator — several tools on this page put it on the top plan or nowhere.

Peec

We can describe the plans and not the prices. peec.ai/pricing renders its figures with JavaScript and serves no price in the HTML, so nothing we could quote would be vendor-verified. Third-party reviews put the euro numbers somewhere between €70 and €425 a month and disagree with one another, which is why we are not repeating one of them.

What the page itself does state: Starter is 50 prompts, "Choose 3 models", unlimited users, daily tracking frequency, 1 project. Pro is 150 prompts, 3 models, 2 projects. Advanced is 350 prompts, 3 models, 5 projects, plus multi-country and a Looker Studio integration. Enterprise offers all models, up to 12 LLMs tracked, daily or weekly frequency, unlimited projects, API access and SSO. The platform tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, and the site claims 3,000+ brands and agencies.

Unlimited users on every tier is the standout. Check the price on peec.ai before you compare it to anything.

Profound

Starter $99/mo and Growth $399/mo, both billed yearly with two months free, so the month-to-month figures are higher. Starter gives 50 unique prompts, 1,500 responses a month, one seat and 100 agent credits, covering ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Growth gives 100 prompts, 9,000 responses, three seats and 400 credits across the same three engines.

Gemini, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Claude appear only on Enterprise, alongside SSO/SAML, SOC 2, a dedicated Slack channel and a 24-hour SLA. So for a self-serve buyer who needs Gemini, Profound's answer today is a sales call.

If you are reading an older comparison that says Starter is ChatGPT-only, that has changed — the page now lists three engines at Starter. Check dates on anything you read in this category.

Rankscale

The widest engine list on this page and the most flexible metering. Everything runs on credits, roughly 0.25 of a credit per engine query, and search terms are unlimited to create — execution is what spends. Essentials starts from $20/mo. Pro is $99/mo with 1,200 credits, up to 4,800 tracked answers, 10 brand dashboards and 50 page audits. Growth is $385/mo with 5,500 credits and 22,000 answers, plus white-label and a REST API. Enterprise is $780/mo with 12,000 credits and 48,000 answers.

Engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Gemini, DeepSeek, Mistral, Claude, Grok and Copilot. Credits roll over up to 2× or 3× your allocation depending on tier. Pro has a 7-day free trial with no charge until day 7, and yearly billing saves 15%.

Credit forecasting is the work here: ten engines on one prompt is ten queries, so a wide engine mix spends the allocation faster than the headline suggests.

Scrunch

Starter is $250/mo billed annually or $300/mo month-to-month. Growth is $417/mo annually or $500/mo month-to-month. Enterprise is custom. Annual billing saves about 17%.

Starter is self-serve with a 7-day free trial and no credit card. Growth and Enterprise are demo-gated — you book a call to evaluate or buy. The pricing page does not itemise which AI engines each tier covers, so if a specific engine decides your purchase, get it in writing before the trial ends.

At a $250 floor this is priced for teams with a budget line for AI visibility, not for a founder testing the water.

Writesonic

Starter is $79/mo with 50 prompts and 50 answers tracked daily. Basic is $199/mo. Growth is $399/mo with 200 prompts and 600 answers tracked daily. Enterprise is custom with custom prompts, regions and languages, plus full Action Center access.

Starter, Basic and Growth track three platforms: ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. All ten platforms — adding Perplexity, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI and Google AI Mode — are Enterprise only. That is the sharpest engine cliff in this table: Perplexity, which most tools include at entry, sits behind a custom quote here.

Daily tracking on every tier and a large writing platform attached are the arguments in favour. Price the engines first.

A status note on XFunnel

XFunnel appears on a lot of shortlists and in a lot of comparison posts, so here is where it stands as of today.

HubSpot announced its acquisition of XFunnel in its own newsroom, and HubSpot's AEO product is the descendant of it. The xfunnel.ai site is still live. Its pricing page still offers a free one-time audit covering 50 search queries plus a custom Enterprise tier, and the homepage's primary call to action is "Sign up for updates" rather than a self-serve signup — the only account link is a login to dash.xfunnel.ai.

What we can confirm: the acquisition, from HubSpot. What we cannot confirm from any first-party source today: that XFunnel is closed to new customers. There is no such notice on the site. If you are evaluating it, ask them directly rather than trusting a comparison post — including this one — on that specific point.

Five questions that decide this, better than any score

Which engines do your buyers actually use? Write the list down before you open a pricing page. If Claude is on it, four of the twelve tools above either charge extra or reserve it for a top tier. If Google AI Overviews is on it, HubSpot AEO does not track them at all.

What is the all-in monthly price with your engines included? The entry price and the price of the plan that covers your list are often two different plans. Frase's ChatGPT tier is $49; its Gemini and Claude tier is $299. Writesonic's entry is $79; Perplexity is Enterprise.

Prompts, credits or responses? A prompt cap is easy to forecast. Credits and response quotas depend on how many engines each run touches, so ask how many engine calls one tracked question consumes before you compare two numbers.

Can you buy it without a call? Six of the twelve above sell online. Brandlight, Evertune, and Scrunch's upper tiers do not. Neither approach is wrong, but a sales cycle is a cost, and so is being unable to cancel in a dashboard.

Is the headline price monthly or annual? Profound's $99 and $399 are annual rates. Scrunch, Frase, Otterly, Rankscale and AthenaHQ all publish both. Comparing one vendor's annual rate against another's monthly rate is the single most common error in this category.

FAQ

What is an AI visibility tool? Software that asks AI engines the buying questions your customers ask, then records whether your brand was named, whether it was cited, and which competitors appeared instead. It repeats the checks on a schedule so you can see change rather than one answer.

Can I just check ChatGPT myself? For a handful of questions, once, yes — and it is worth doing. It stops working as soon as you need a trend, several engines, or a clean session every time. We wrote the honest version of that argument in Do you need an AI visibility tool?

Which tools track Claude? On this list: Geotally and Rankscale include it at entry. AthenaHQ includes it on the $295 tier, Frase on the $299 tier, Profound and Writesonic on Enterprise. Otterly and Peec sell it as an add-on. HubSpot AEO does not offer it.

Are there free AI visibility tools? AthenaHQ's Essential tier is free with 300 credits. HubSpot AEO has a free trial with no card. Geotally runs a free one-off AI visibility check through ChatGPT with no account. None of these replaces scheduled tracking, and no tool on this list has a permanent free plan with full engine coverage.

Which tools track Google AI Overviews? On this list: AthenaHQ, Geotally, Otterly, Profound, Rankscale and Writesonic all include them at their entry tier. HubSpot AEO does not offer them. For a list built specifically around that surface, see the 12 best Google AI Overview trackers.

How much should I expect to pay? Entry points on this page run from $19/mo to $800/mo, with several tools clustering between $50 and $99. We broke every price down in What does AI visibility tracking cost?

Not sure where you stand yet? Run a free AI visibility check — three real buying questions through ChatGPT, no account, no card, about a minute.
