What Does AI Visibility Tracking Cost? Every Tool's Price (September 2026)
September 7, 2026

Published entry prices for AI visibility tracking run from $9.80/month to $800/month, and several well-known platforms publish no price at all. The spread is not about quality — it is about how many AI engines are in the plan, how the usage is metered, and whether you can buy it without a sales call.
Prices verified: 7 September 2026. Every figure below was read from the vendor's own pricing page on that date and is linked at the bottom. Tools are listed alphabetically. Nothing here is scored or ranked.

| thruuu | Free; Starter $13/mo | Credit-based AI Overview monitoring | Agency $66/mo |

| ZipTie | From $35.63/mo | Usage-based, 7 engines, unlimited seats | Enterprise from $2,614.34/mo |
Two cells say "not verified". They mean exactly that. Semrush's pricing page returned a bot check on every attempt today, and Peec's prices are drawn by JavaScript and absent from the served HTML. Both are real, credible products; we will not publish a price we did not read on the vendor's own page.
Why the spread is so wide
Twelve dollars and eight hundred dollars are not measuring the same thing. Four variables explain almost all of the difference.
How many engines are in the plan. This is the biggest single factor. HubSpot AEO covers three engines for $50. Rankscale covers ten from $20 on credits. Writesonic covers three at $79 and reserves the other seven for Enterprise. Before you compare two prices, write down the engines your buyers use and price the plan that contains all of them.
How usage is metered. Three systems are in play. A prompt cap (Geotally, PromptRush, LLM Pulse, Frase) is the easiest to forecast: you know what 50 prompts costs. Credits (Keyword.com, AthenaHQ, Rankscale, thruuu) flex with engine count — one prompt across ten engines spends ten times what it spends across one. A response quota (Profound: 1,500/month on Starter, 9,000 on Growth) sits in between. A cheap credit plan and an expensive prompt plan can end up at the same monthly bill.
Whether it is a standalone tool or a module. SE Ranking's AI Search Toolkit is $89/mo, but it needs a base plan, so the real floor is $218/mo month-to-month. Semrush's toolkit has historically worked the same way. Frase, Seobility, Keyword.com and thruuu all bolt AI visibility onto an existing suite. If you already pay for the suite, the add-on is your true incremental cost. If you do not, you are buying a suite to use one module.
Whether you can buy it online. Brandlight publishes nothing and sells by demo. Evertune publishes $800 and still routes you to a demo. Scrunch is self-serve at Starter and demo-gated above it. A sales cycle is a real cost in weeks, and so is the inability to cancel from a dashboard at 11pm.
The add-on trap
The advertised price and the price of the plan that does your job are frequently different numbers. Four documented examples from today:
- Otterly includes ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot at $29. Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode are add-ons at every tier.
- PromptRush includes five platforms at $19 and prices Claude at $39–$129/mo depending on tier — so Claude can cost more than the plan.
- LLM Pulse includes five models at €49 and prices Claude, Copilot, Grok and DeepSeek from €10/month each.
- Frase covers ChatGPT and Google AI at $49. Gemini and Claude arrive at Scale, $299/mo month-to-month.

None of that is dishonest pricing — unbundling is a legitimate model, and it keeps entry prices low for people who only need two engines. It does mean a table of headline prices is not a table of what you will pay.
For the record, and so you can check it against the rest: Geotally includes all six engines — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google AI Overviews — on every plan from $19/mo, with no per-engine or per-model charge. That is a positioning choice, not a claim that unbundled tools are worse.
Monthly versus annual
Read the small print under the number. Profound's $99 and $399 are annual-billing rates described on its own page as billed yearly with two months free; month-to-month costs more. The same pattern, with the annual rate shown first or largest, appears at Frase ($39 vs $49), Otterly ($25 vs $29), Keyword.com ($7.83 vs $9.80), Scrunch ($250 vs $300), SE Ranking ($71.20 vs $89 on the add-on) and Rankscale (15% off yearly).
Comparing one vendor's annual rate against another's monthly rate is the most common way a comparison table misleads people, usually without meaning to. If you are collecting quotes, pick one billing basis and hold every tool to it.
What you can get for nothing
Four genuinely free options exist, and all four have limits worth knowing.
AthenaHQ Essential is free with $25 of credit and 300 credits total, covering ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot. Credits run out.
Seobility Basic is free and shows an AI Overview indicator — whether Google produced an overview for a tracked keyword. The answer text, the cited sources and their positions need Premium at €49.90/mo.
thruuu has a free tier with credit-metered AI Overview monitoring, then $13/mo for Starter.
One-off checks. PromptRush runs a free instant report with no sign-up. Geotally runs a free AI visibility check that puts three real buying questions through ChatGPT and tells you how many named your brand — no account, no card, about a minute.
None of these is scheduled tracking, and a one-off answer is a snapshot rather than a trend. They are the right way to find out whether you have a problem before you pay to watch it.
What a small team should budget
An honest range rather than a recommendation.
If you want one engine watched and you already own an SEO suite, you are looking at $13–$89/month as an add-on. If you want the full engine set including Claude and Gemini on a dedicated tool, the self-serve market sits at roughly $19–$99/month. Above about $250/month you are buying platform — attribution, content generation, advertising, agency white-label, SSO — rather than more measurement.
The mistake we see most often is buying the platform first. Measure with something cheap, find out whether AI answers name you at all, and let the size of the gap decide the size of the budget.
FAQ
How much does AI visibility tracking cost? Published entry prices run from $9.80/month (Keyword.com's AI Visibility plan) to $800/month (Evertune Pro), with most self-serve dedicated tools between $19 and $99. Several enterprise platforms publish no price and sell by demo.
Is there a free AI visibility tool? AthenaHQ's Essential tier, Seobility's Basic plan and thruuu's free tier all cost nothing within limits. Free one-off checks are available from PromptRush and Geotally. No tool on this page offers a permanent free plan with full engine coverage.
Why do some tools not show a price? Enterprise sales models. Brandlight's pricing page returns a 404 and routes to a demo; Evertune publishes $800 for Pro but still requires a demo to buy. That usually signals annual contracts and a procurement process rather than a card.
What is the cheapest way to track ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews together? On published prices today, Keyword.com's AI Visibility plan at $9.80/mo, thruuu's Starter at $13/mo and Geotally or PromptRush at $19/mo all cover both. The differences are prompt volume, refresh cadence and which other engines come with it.
Do prices in this category change? Often. Profound's Starter tier covered ChatGPT only earlier this year and lists three engines today. Anything you read without a date on it is guesswork. This page is re-verified monthly.
Before you spend anything, find out whether you have a gap. Run a free AI visibility check — three buying questions through ChatGPT, no account, no card.
